Disclaimer: Note that this is not in any way scientific or even an accurate reflection of the real world. Some of the posts are just a little backgrounder on the minister concerned. Other posts portray events that are the condequences of misdeeds and cannot traced to specific incompetence, just general mayhem. Other posts affect more than one department, such as drugs in schools and the minister of Housing turning up at the prison gates to give a criminal a hero's welcome. Or the minister of Housing (her again) endeavouring to mess up the environment. Or the department of Public Works paying for the President's modest retirement villa. And then there is Alec Erwin, currently minister of Public Enterprises who is alleged to have had his fingers in the till during his previous stint at Trade and Industry. It's all as clear as mud, yet perfectly logical in the South African context.

Woman in hospital bed killed by flying rock

The chaos on our roads are due to a lack of Transport infrastructure. Citizens of the Free State provice have won a court case against Public Works for their failure to maintain roads.

Foreign governments are starting to warn their citizens about the dangers of Tourism in South Africa.

Ngconde Balfour, the minister of Correctional Services have to deal with a bunch of naked women.

Labour is investigating a BEE construction company that tragically killed a woman lying in her hospital bed. She was hit by a rock that was launched by an explosion at a construction some distance away from the hospital.

In the news today

Transport is in the spotlight, with road maintenance in the Cape province a little behind schedule, only $2billion short.

To make matters worse, the R300 highway is in danger of collapse due to some inept meddling in the course of a river by the Environment people.

Lulu Xingwana, the minister of Land Affairs is starting to show her true colours.

According to Mosiuoa Lekota, the Defence minister, a coup plot is being hatched.

Poor people have to ration their water as if they are stranded in a desert, thanks to a privatisation initiative from Water Affairs.

Intelligence is having its day in court.

ANC makes history

For the first time ever, the regime has a change of heart about Health issues. Not actually admitting it did any wrong, just saying the same things that critics have been saying for years. Dr Manto Tshabalala-Msimang days as minister of Health maight be numbered.

Destitute ex-soldier's 12-day trek

Minerals and Energy have been very busy. They bring us a huge BEE deal going down the tubes and deny that we will have another fuel shortage. Having created a gold rush, they cannot keep up with the paperwork from all the would-BEE prospectors.

Finance minister Trevor Manuel is getting jittery about the ability new black middle-class to spend as if there is no tomorrow. The regime's economic miracle is also taking serious flak from an Aussie.

A destitute discharged soldier embarked on a 12-day trek to visit Defence about a report that had been missing for three years, holding up his pension payout. After getting robbed on the way, he found the document in three minutes once he was there.

For President Thabo Mbeki we have a modest retirement home under construction.

No shortage of material

You would think that a blog that consentrates on colossal blunders by a government would have to dig deep, but this is not the case. The ANC regime is keeping me busy. The modus operandi in building this blog is simple: scan news sites for juicy stories, do some copy-and-paste with light editing and voila!

Be warned that is not South Africa - The Good News. You can google for that one of you like. I will not publish the link here. This is more like South Africa - The Real News. Some might call it South Africa - The Bad News. They may do so if they like.

If you think I am negative, so be it. I am a manic depressive seeking therapy-by-blogging. South Africa made me this way.

The aim of this blog

This blog will expose the utter incompetence of the South African government.

It is vast. There are 1 president, 1 deputy president and 29 ministers in the cabinet, each heading up a department. Then there deputy ministers but at least they do not count. Tony Blair makes do with only 23 ministers to assist him.

This is the main page. There are links to each department on this page.

They generate so much hot air that each one has its own blog. One blog is not enough!
